The urban solid waste generation it’s increasing each year with a significant rate. This effect causes several reserved areas of controlled landfills, consequently also increase the soil degradation and groundwater pollution. The reuse of these residues in the production of fuels has been one of the alternatives that aims to reduce the generation of solid waste in order to reduct the environmental impact that this generation causes. With the use of Urban Solid Waste (RSU) it is possible to enter in the carbon credit market, which becomes a political / economic advantage. The use of RSU is a viable option in the context of energy generation since the energy consumption is already increasing more thanr the current sources of energy generation are read to use. Thus, aiming at analyzing the current energy market and the political / economic impact of the use of MSW, as a raw material for energy and fuel generation, this paper aims to analyze the entire environmental context of the RSU and the current energy demand. as a solution to small towns and rural areas anywhere in the world, and one of the advantages of using them is not to be affected by the weather conditions.
