Forestry Engineer graduated from the Federal University of Campina Grande/PB. Masters and PhD in Wood Science and Technology by the Federal University of Lavras/MG and Post-Doctor by Imperial College London, London/England/United Kingdom. Adjunct Professor of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Academic Unit Specialized in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural School of Jundiaí. She has experience in Forest Resources and Forestry Engineering areas, with emphasis on Biomass Energy, Use of Wood as a Source of Energy for Production of Red Ceramics in the state of Rio Grande do Norte/ Brazil, Waste Utilization as an Alternative Energy Source, Wood Quality, Study of the Energy Potential of Caatinga Species, Charcoal Production and Reconstituted Wood Panel Technology. For the work sge has developed since 2010, she won the 2013 FEMALE SCIENTIST AWARD OF FAPERN (Research Foundation of the State of Rio Grande do Norte), in the category YOUNG RESEARCHER.
