He holds a Masters and PhD in Forestry Engineering from the Federal University of Paraná (2004), in Brazil. In 1992 he majored in Products Design and Woodwork Engineering by the Institute of Vocational Training, and in 2002 in Production Management by the Kyushu International Techno Cooperative Association in Japan, with a JAPAN INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENCY, JICA. He is currently Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos. Leader of the Biomass and Bioenergy research group. He participated in 14 events abroad and 26 in Brazil. His field of study is in the area of ​​forest resources, with emphasis on biomass energy and wood residues. In his professional activities he interacted with 27 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific works. The most frequent terms in the contextualization of scientific and technological production are: bioenergy, biomass, quality control, timber industry, wood residues, WPC-wood plastic composite, productivity, recycling.
